El Limon

El Limon is one of the original schools where PEH began serving.  There are two teachers at the school, Sarah teaches Kinder, and Katie teaches 1st through 6th grade.  On our first visit to El Limon, Katie traveled some distance to met us at the school on a day in which school was not in session.   It is something that has stuck out, as, again, it shows the abundant dedication that all the teachers in PEH schools have.

In September of 2024, PEH spent a week at El Limon, and what an awesome week it was.  There was a small building that used to be a kitchen that was turned into a classroom with the help of the community.  This building has become the Kinder classroom.  In addition, all the buildings, including the bathrooms, received a fresh coat of pain on the inside and the outside.  What a difference a paint job can have on a school.

From day one, Katie and Sarah have been committed to teaching the children at El Limon about the great love of our Heavenly Father.  They are an amazing team, loving on and teaching a total of 50 children all together!  One thing that I really love at El Limon is how Katie will jump in and teach with me.  She has an incredible passion for teaching the children.  Whether it is reading writing, and math, or the Bible, Katie makes it fun and exciting.  She is always constantly moving too!  The other thing that I love about Katie and Sarah is that they make it a priority to  make sure the children understand that everything comes from God.  Thus, He deserves our thanks and praise!
